poncho style

This is hand-knit wearing in action. My kid won’t wear a sweater for five minutes but he wore a poncho all day.
He asked me in the morning, “Mommy, you made this? Did it take a lot of times?”
“Yes. I made it and it took a while.”
“Oh, mommy it’s beautiful. What’s it called?"
"A poncho. It's pretty cool, you look like you're ready to ride a horse in the old days".

Then, a few minutes later I overheard him telling our little three-year-old neighbor, when asked what he was wearing, “it’s just a dress. My mom made it and it’s beautiful.”

We ran around town today like two kids on vacation. On a weekday afternoon, we were the only riders on the train.

ETA: The pattern is Prankster Poncho from Boho Baby Knits and the yarn is Filatura Di Crosa 127 Print (#36 Teal).

This is beautiful. And your son is so sweet to love it so much. Is this something from your book?

The poncho is so great. It looks like a story! I love Felix's questions. Aren't they sweet at this age? I have to know, since I have one of these sweet little ones in my life too, what yarn and is the pattern in your book? Love it!

Fee looks awesome, and he's got to be the coolest little boy ever (well, until mine pops out. *smile*). Where is that train? It looks so cool. By the way, have you discovered this site?

I just found it and it seems like one you'd love - beautiful crochet and whimsical drawings.

If there is anyone who can revive the poncho trend, your little boy has got to be it. He totally rocks the look.

I just howled with laughter reading this post. He is seriously a cool kid - a dress!! Too funny. The 'Poncho-dress' is great. Kids are so hilarious; mine used to say the weirdest things when they were little. Makes great stories for when they are older.

I'm loving all these comments! Another one of Felix's phrases: "Mommy, we haven't seen our friend since a long times ago".
-Insert friends name-

We wonder where he gets all his confidence! He just seemed to come out that way.
