The patch blanket was for Julia!
She is expecting her baby in a couple of months - !!!!!!!!!!! -
It's a nice carry-along-project since it's made of small, manageable squares. I like this method of working. The finishing is a little tedious but not so bad since there are only 16 squares. Next time I make one I will weave in the ends as I go, then all the finishing that has to be done is seaming, and knitting the border.
The next three blankets are fast knits. The pattern is basically the Fluffiest Baby Blanket from Greetings from Knit Cafe. I went through my stash and found lots of odd balls of GGH Espirit, Trendsetter Zucca and Austermann Piuma. A friend of mine is having twins. eek!
I was on a roll and decided to knit a fluffy blanket for us. I didn't realize how well it would match our living room.

Wow- you really weren't kidding when you said you've been knitting blankets! The fluffy blankets look so cozy (if very warm), and you know how I feel about the blanket you made for Julia. *sigh*
That patchwork blanket is gorgeous..what a beautiful gift for a friend's baby...but boy you must have been sweating!

Your blanket is fantastic. It was actually so nice that my friend ripped out the scarf she was working on and now wants to turn the yarn into a little blinkie. :D

But think of how clear your pores are now! No, all kidding aside - they are all lovely. That mix of miters and stripes is such a wonderful idea. I think I might just have to try it for a stash buster project. And I am a fan of the humungo stripes and orange, so of course I love your living room and your living room's blanket.

Gorgeous! When you first mentioned heat wave, I thought you had AC, but you don't do you?! My husband turns ours up (down?) so much that I can knit heavy sweaters if I want. :sigh:

it's funny because I feel like my knitting productivity has been down. I guess when you have blankets to show for your time it looks like a lot.
that's a fabulous blanket that you knit for julia! i love the miters combined with stripes. is it a pattern or did you make it up as you went?
It is such a wonderful blanket. Townes liked it as much as the mobile, and tries to lay on both simultaneously! The colors are so cool - you always know how to put together unique combinations in a pleasing way.
BTW, I love the picture of Fee above - so sweet with the new dog. Hope you guys have a blast at the beach!

Kat, the blankets for the twins!! Chere says they are beautiful. Hope to see you and AnneMarie at either the shower or after babies are born. I will be a happy grandma again, twice blessed this round.
