in progress

I'm not spring cleaning, or fall cleaning rather I'm procrastinating and finding all sorts of personal knitting projects that need finishing or beginning...
this one's from Rowan #38 (2005)
Pattern: Knotty
Yarn: Elann.com Peruvian Collection Highland wool color #2519
held together with
Louet Sales Kid Mohair, color Fuchsia

For some reason I can't seem to stick with it, after a few days I have to walk away. So far the walking away period has stretched to two and a half years.
I thought I had finished the back, two fronts and one sleeve, alas no sleeves yet! Started one a few days ago but put it down when I got distracted by the allure of the pirates.

free pattern from hello yarn
yarn: Jamieson & Smith
2-ply jumper weight
MC #36, CC #203

Boyfriend's birthday is coming soon and this is definitely Johnny's style.

I'm still daydreaming about the December Lights Tam but when I went into my stash for the yarn I found all the colors I had were somber blues and grays. I'm tempted by the assortment of bright colorshere. When I look at the design on the tam I'm reminded of pomegranates. Seems to be a theme for me this month.

Yes you're so close...keep going! However it never hurts to throw in wee projects to break up the bigger ones....I love the Tam too although I'm feeling rather drawn to Jared Flood's Koolhass hat in that same issue....looks like a good xmas gift for several blokes I know!

The lure of pirates IS strong, isn't it? Well, everyone needs a wee project or two to get them through what I affectionately call the sweater slog. Good luck with your Knotty sleeves.

Mmm...those Finullgarn yarn colors are righteous. That chartreuse! That medium violet!

Your 'Knotty' looks so much better than the picture in the Rowan magazine. I saw your photo and thought, I've got to knit that, whereas when I saw the Rowan pic, it didn't do it any justice at all.
That cherry red looks fabulous.

I'm surprised you have greys and somber blues to choose from; you're so artistic! Color! You certainly found them, too. Finullgarn!! Gorgeous colors! How will you decide? I agree with the comment about the picture in Rowan of Knotty not coming close to showing how great the pattern is. You'd think they'd get a clue. Get your pirates done for Halloween. They look spooky! They can go with your Halloween socks!

Ugh! I have UFOs that are almost there too. Then, I feel guilty whenever i look at them or see them (which usually results in them getting shoved to the bottom of a drawer somewhere).

The skull hat is really really cute!
